| Introduction of Three Gorges Museum: |
| Three Gorges Museum is situated at the west part of Chongqing's Renmin Square, with an area of 30,000 square meters and a construction area of 42,500 square meters. The museum was completed and opened to the public on June 18, 2005. It was the first large museum entitled with "China" by the State Council Office of China. It's not only a specified museum of Three Gorges but also a comprehensive historical and artistic museum. |

It has a collection of over 170,000 pieces of cultural relics. Entering the Museum, there has four basic presentations: "The Splendid Three Gorges"- reflecting the history and culture of the Three Gorges;
"Far-Ancient Bayu"- introducing the origin of local history;
"Urban Development of Chongqing"- stating transitional process of Chongqing;
"Anti-Japanese Days " - telling the stories occurred in Anti - Japanese period during WWII. |
