Situation
Jiangsu is adjacent to the Yellow Sea in the east, to Anhui Province in the west, to Shandong Province in the north, to Zhejiang Province in the south, and to Shanghai in the east. There are two great rivers flowing through the whole province: Yangtze River from west to east and Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal from north to south.

Weather & Temperature
Jiangsu Province is situated in the transition zones between the temperate zone and subtropical zone, with a humid and semi-humid monsoon climate. The dividing line between the temperate zone and the subtropical zone is roughly the belt between the Huaihe River of Jiangsu Province and North Jiangsu General Irrigation Canal, to the south of it is subtropical humid monsoon climate, and to the north is temperate humid monsoon climate. The annual average temperature is 130C-160C, -20C-40C in January, and 260C-290C in July. The highest extreme temperature is 40.90C. The climate throughout the province is mild with appropriate amount of rains and clear-cut division of the four seasons.
