Introduction of Xibaipo Village:

Xibaipo had been the headquarters of People¡¯s Liberation Army and the base of the central committee of Chinese Communist Party from May 26 of 1948 to March 23 of 1949. Chairman Mao and the Party¡¯s central committee went to Beijing from here. Premier Zhou Enlai once said: ¡°Xibaipo is the last rural command post for Chinese Communist Party. It is the place where Chairman Mao and the headquarters of PLA (People¡¯s Liberation Army) conducted the famous Three Military Campaigns, and it is also the place where the 2nd plenipotentiary session of the 16th Committee of CPC (Chinese Communist Party) was held. All of these historic facts explain the significance of Xibaipo in the history of China¡¯s liberation. In another word, the establishment of new China started from here. ¡±
