Anshun is situated to the east of Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau in the mid-western part of Guizhou in China, is a city of great importance in the transport between the two provinces and has a strategic geographic significance as the "threshold to Yunnan and the hinterlands of Guizhou". With a total population of 2,523,000, Anshun has an area of 9,264 sq. km and an altitude of 1,300 meters. |

Anshun is known as a tourist city. Three national scenic and historic interest areas are located here including: Huangguoshu Waterfall National Park, Dragon Palace Cave Scenic Spot, and Getu River Scenic Area. Anshun City also hosts one national forest park, Jiulongshan Forest Park, as well as a number of province-level and city-level scenic spots. The spectacular scenery of this area is most often associated with the typical Karst type of topography.

By Train - Anshun Huangguoshu Airport (AVA) is situated 6 kilometers south of Anshun City. and located in the mid-west of Guizhou Province and is 90 kilometers from the capital city Guiyang. it has opened the city up to visitors from other major cities in China like Shenyang, Kunming and Guangzhou.
By Bus - Anshun Railway Station is located in Nanhua Road and near to the South Bus Station. Every day there are trains to other major cities in China such as Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Guangzhou, etc. There is also Huangguoshu Tourist Special Line shuttling between Anshun and Guiyang every day. |
