Situation
Nanning borders Vietnam, is neighbor to Guangzhou, close to Hong Kong and Macau, and faces Southeast Asia. Nanning is a small basin surround by mountains. It belongs to the subtropical monsoon zone. The annual average temperature is about 27.7C. The mild climate makes the city green all year, hence its name 'Green City'. Rainfalls are somewhat frequent there, even in the hot summer; while snows are seldom.

By Air - Nanning Wuxu International Airport (NNG) is located in Wuxu Town, about 31 kilometers southwest from the city proper. Since its opening, Wuxu Airport has reached a capacity of some 2.5 million passengers each year and can handle 15 large passenger airliners at one time.
By Train - Nanning Railway Station is located in Zhong Hua Lu (Zhonghua Rd.) in the central area of the city. The station was built in 1951. It now has sound passenger and freight transit facilities. As the meeting point of many inland railways, the station has trains directly to most large cities in China. |
