The Exhibition Theater was the first big-scaled, comprehensive exhibition venue in Beijing. With a total area of 200,000 sq. meters, The building is housed within the exhibition center in Xizhimen and is a great example of old Russian architecture. The theater shows classic ballets, musicals, Chinese folk dance performances as well as international dance or acting troupes.

This Exhibition Theater was established in 1954 and named by Chairman Mao and Premier Zhou Enlai. It is one of the largest in Beijing with totally 43 rows and can contain more than 2000 people. it is a multi-functional corporation which combines to host exhibitions, accommodation, food, entertainment and advertisement.
