Tianqiao Theater was first established in 1953 as the first theater after the founding of People's Republic of Chima. The new Tianqiao theater, a first-class theater was finished in March 2001, is located in the southern part of Beijing, neighboring the Temple of Heaven, Beijing Natural History Museum, Xiannongtan Stadium, and Liulichang Cultural Street, National Ballet of China, China Opera and Dance Drama Theater, etc.
Tianqiao Theatre is the only professional theater for opera and ballet in Beijing. Its high-level and multi-functional stage, lighting and audio system also meet the requirements for dance, drama and orchestra performances.
